This is a part time course for one year. One full day per week or two evenings.

The AAT Education and Training scheme offers 3 levels of study: Level 2 Certificate in Accounting, Level 3 Diploma in Accounting and Level 4 Diploma in Accounting. Students can commence study at the Certificate level with no previous accounting experience. Students must register with the AAT to be eligible to sit the examinations.
This programme is also available as an Apprenticeship giving young people aged 16 and over the opportunity to combine the experience of working, with the added benefit of college attendance on a day release (or evening) basis.
Direct entry applicants with no bookkeeping qualifications will be required to undertake an on-line accounting test to determine their entry level.
RSA in Accounting, GCSE in Accounting, Irish Leaving Certificate in Accounting, AAT Certificate in Accounting, A Level Accounting, HNC or GNVQ Business & Finance, OCR Certificate in Accounting, AS Level in Accounting, Scottish Standard Grade in Accounting, NVQ 2 in Accounting.
Lincoln College will require a photocopy of certificates prior to enrolment.
Attendance is as follows:
Lincoln Day - Tuesday.
Lincoln Evening - Tuesday and Thursday 5.30 - 8.30 pm.
Newark Day - Thursday.
Newark Evening - Tuesday and Thursday 5.30 - 8.30 pm
On successful completion of the Level 3 Diploma in Accounting, students may progress to the Level 4 Diploma in Accounting Preference for enrolment will be given to those students who have passed all of their examinations at the first attempt with good feedback. Those students who have not passed their examinations at the first attempt, but have passed the overall level, will be reviewed by the course progression board.
If you are under 19 on 31 August when your programme begins and you are a European Community National you are entitled to free tuition and free examination entry (for the first sitting of each module). Mature students may also qualify for free tuition. Please ask the College’s Guidance Services Unit for details.
