Who can become an apprentice?
Anyone aged over 16, living in England and not in full-time education can become an apprentice.
Wether you are about to leave school. have been working in your job for years, or are looking to start a new career, an apprenticeship could be the perfect option for you!
What does an apprenticeship cost?
There will be no cost to you as an apprentice for your training - in fact, you earn a wage when you are in the workplace!
Apprentices aged 16-18 are eligible for free training.
For those aged 19+, the employer is expected to contribute towards the cost of your training.
What subjects can I do an apprenticeship in?
Apprenticeships are a respected way to earn a qualification in a wide range of industries.
Apprenticeships have been traditional in areas such as construction, hairdressing and engineering; but did you know that you can also be an apprentice dental nurse? Or do an apprenticeships in retail or customer service?
How does an apprenticeship work?
Enjoy learning in the workplace most of the time.
You may be required to attend college from time to time for your studies on a day or block release basis.
This will vary, but some apprentices come into college one day per week.
