Expand your hairdressing skills to include Barbering
This programme is only open to students who have achieved or are in the process of achieving a recognised qualification in hairdressing.
The programme focuses on units of study which include:
Students who have already achieved a recognized hairdressing qualification equal to Level 2 or are enrolled on a Level 2 qualification with a minimum level of a VRQ or NVQ Level 1 qualification in Hairdressing.
All students will be required to attend a skills test to confirm they are on the correct programme.
Equipment and Training Aids:
As well as having a standard kit for hairdressing, you will be required to purchase a male head block for practicing head and facial cutting techniques. It is also recommended that you have thinning scissors, razor and a set of electrical clippers. Details of these are provided during the enrolment process.
This course will run on Tuesday evenings in Newark and on Wednesday evenings in Lincoln.
You will be continually assessed through practical observations (these are graded as pass, credit or distinction), written or on-line tests, oral questions and assignments. Upon completion of your course you could achieve a pass, credit or distinction as an overall grade for your portfolio.
On completion of this programme, students may progress into employment or enroll on one of our specialist barbering courses.
The fees for 2015/16 are:
C&G Level 2 Certificate in Barbering Techniques (VRQ) - £370.00
