A relaxing and revitalizing massage, using essential oils, to relax, reduce muscular tension and improve circulationThe VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Aromatherapy (QCF) is a vocational qualification that will prepare you for a career as an aromatherapist. This qualification is designed for learners aged 17 years or over and will support you to gain employment as an aromatherapist, as the units contained in this qualification cover all the skills and knowledge required for this role This qualification is based on the complementary therapy National Occupational Standards (NOS) and is recognised by the UK's leading professional association, the British Association of Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology (BABTAC), The Complementary and Natural Health Council (CNHC), The Federation of Holistic Therapist (FHT), The Aromatherapy Council (AC), International Federation of Aromatherapists (IFA), as being fit for purpose for preparing you for a career as an aromatherapist. Holders of this qualification are eligible to become a professional member of BABTAC. Programme Content: This qualification includes all the required elements to work effectively as an aromatherapist including mandatory units covering the following: knowledge and understanding of complementary therapy concepts, business practice, anatomy, physiology and pathology for complementary therapies. You will also develop your understanding and practical skills to competently provide aromatherapy services, to include blending of essential oils to individually meet the clients needs. Throughout this qualification you will develop your knowledge and understanding of relevant anatomy and physiology, health and safety, client care and essential oils. You will develop a range of technical skills enabling you to blend essential oils in a tailor-made fashion for each client and provide relaxing aromatherapy massage treatments using different massage techniques. You will also develop interpersonal skills that will assist you to communicate effectively with clients. The programme focuses on:
Students aged 16-18
The majority of courses are free for students aged 16-18 years.
Students aged 19-23
This course is subsidised by the government. You may be entitled to a discount dependent upon your circumstances.
Students aged 24+
