Diploma Level 3 Painting and Decorating course.

This programme is intended for those wishing to train to a high standard or supervisory level in Painting & Decorating.
Course members can access a progressive programme dependent upon their qualifications and practical aptitude. Before selection for the course evidence of a good level of communication, arithmetical and practical skills will be required before the student can be considered for the entrance exam which is carried out over 1 day. There will also be a formal interview in addition to the entrance exam. Interview days will take place at various points in the year from springtime onwards.

Achievement, Assessment and Examinations:
The main components of assessment are through the testing of practical skills and the assessment of job knowledge through written tests.  The majority of assessment is internal; however the Diploma Awards require two externally set tests to be taken.  Assessment takes place within each element and unit of training throughout the programme.  The College is committed to maintaining Records of Achievements and providing appropriate feedback through reviewing and action planning.

Progression:
On completion of the Programme students may be able to progress to gain employment in order to gain more training and experience whilst converting the Diploma Level 3 Award into an NVQ3. There may also be an opportunity to progress onto supervisory / management qualifications.

Students aged 16-18 years The majority of courses are free for students aged 16-18 years. Students aged 19-23 years Please contact Lincoln College for fees. Some courses are subsidised by the government.  You may be entitled to a discount for these courses dependant upon your circumstances.
