Each Trainee who attends this programme of training will be working towards credits for a Diploma Level 3 in Carpentry or Joinery. The course allows trainees to progress from a Level 2 / Diploma Level 2 to the above qualification and as with the level 2 is approved by City and Guilds

A Diploma level 2 in Carpentry or Joinery is required (or equivalent construction award) a reasonable level of communication, arithmetical and manual skills is an advantage.
You will participate in a test day where you are invited into an informal group discussion /interview, take a practical test and theory test paper.

On completion of an NVQ Level 3 a choice of routes are available:
• The Chartered Institute of Building Certificate in Site Supervisory Studies.
• A bridge year to HNC in Construction.
• It should be noted that that as the holder of a Level 3 qualification they could be admitted direct onto the HNC but in all probability would find they needed the bridge year input on topics such as Analytical Methods (Mathematics), Science and Materials, Surveying, Measurement etc.
