If you want to pursue a career in the travel and tourism industry then this is an excellent place to start. This course will provide you with the underpinning skills and knowledge to progress through the levels of travel and tourism to a high standard. Successful completion of this programme may allow you to progress onto a Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma in Travel and Tourism or prepare you for employment in the travel and tourism sector. During this course you will explore theoretically and practically the following topics at an appropriate level to begin working within the industry: The UK Travel and Tourism Sector; Customer Service in Travel & Tourism; Worldwide Holiday Destinations and Employability Skills.
You will need 4 GCSEs at Grade D and above or equivalent, to include either Mathematics or English Language (minimum Grade 3). You must demonstrate an interest in travel. You will be required to attend an interview and provide a reference (from an employer or recent school/college report).
Assessment is varied and includes internally-set assignments and externally-set online tests.
