Taught in industry standard workshops you will learn how to maintain, repair and modify vehicle systems to a high standard on our course that’s backed by the Institute of the Motor Industry.

This qualification can help you to progress in a wide range of roles within the automotive industry, including careers as a motorsport mechanic, allowing you to build a racing car from scratch, tour top circuits and overtake your mates with industry expert training.

During this course, you will learn: knowledge and skills of motorsport engine mechanical, lubrication and cooling system units and components; motorsport fuel, ignition, air and exhaust system units and components; removing and replacing motorsport chassis, motorsport electrical and motorsport transmissions units and components.
You will need GCSE’s in Mathematics and English (minimum Grade C or equivalent). You will also be required to pass a trade test as-well as a literacy and numeracy test. You will be required to attend an interview and provide a reference (from an employer or recent school/college report).
Assessment is a combination of practical tests and written examinations.
