Have fun leasrning how to use your digital camera more effectively to create better pictures for your album

  • Understanding your camera’s basic settings (portrait, landscape and manual modes etc)
  • Understanding your camera’s specialist settings and what they can do (colour balance, file size etc)
  • Using memory cards and downloading images into a computer
  • Choosing picture size and quality
  • Understanding lens settings (wide angle, zoom etc) and what they can do. Use of flash
  • Looking at different types of photography and the work of famous photographers and learning from their techniques
  • The importance of composition (framing, eye levels etc)
  • Reviewing your photographs and solving problems
  • How to shoot portraits and groups. Using the self timer
  • How to shoot landscapes and close ups
  • How to print images (connections, papers, types of printer etc)
  • Your photographs and the internet
  • Reviewing your photographs and solving problems
