This entry level programme is designed for school leavers and young people who need extra support with learning. You will achieve a greater sense of independence and self-confidence by building on skills and strengths. You will follow a programme of practical creative arts elements linked to performing arts, media and photography. Following an accredited Aim Awards qualification, you will develop communication skills and enhance self-confidence through the use of practical Creative Arts focused modules that are differentiated to ensure that all abilities of and styles of learning are met.
Upon completion of this programme, you are able to progress onto either the Skills for Progression or a level 1 programme if appropriate. You may also be able to progress into employment within your chosen vocational area. Careers advice will be given throughout the course to help you make this decision.
During this course, you will study: performing arts; media; photography; independent living skills and personal development.

You don’t need any formal qualifications to apply but it is advisable that you are working at entry level and show willingness to work and a desire to progress.
You will undertake a literacy and numeracy assessment during the interview process, to determine the correct level of study.
Assessment is a collation of written work in a portfolio. Your practical and personal skills will also be assessed.
