This entry level programme is designed for school leavers and young people who need extra support with learning. You will develop the skills required for working within the care profession and a greater sense of independence and self-confidence.
Upon completion of this programme, you are able to progress onto either the Skills for Progression or a level 1 programme if appropriate. You may also be able to progress into employment within your chosen vocational area. Careers advice will be given throughout the course to help you make this decision.
During this course, you will study: needs of different individuals; child growth and development; administering first aid to minor injuries; recognising and dealing with “health emergencies”; independent living skills and personal development.
